damn I hate school. I go back in two weeks. I haven't realized how much I love summer, even though this one sucks. I wish so much this summer would last forever. I thought maybe by now I would look forward to going back or be excited, but I still dread it. It's useless. I hate everyone there, the drama, and I hate getting my balls busted for not making good grades. I want school to go away and never come back.

My dad is so fucking selfish. he always lets me know that I HAVE to go to college no matter what. I'm going to refuse just to piss him off. He makes me hate school. He hovers over my artwork and interupts me while I'm wokring just to say 'what are you doing?'. He goes through my sketchbooks and studies my things. I guess he's just trying to be 'involved', but I want him to get off of my back.

I can't wait until november. I'll turn sixteen then. Maybe I'll just pack my things and leave school and all of that shit behind and become a freelance artist/mountain man.

I slept on the beach the other night with my friend jeff and my dad. It was lots of fun. I snorkeled and killed some rock crabs with my knife and tonight I ate them. I tried sleeping next to the fire in the sand but it was too hard, so I slept in a lawn chair. sand isn't as soft as I thought. me and jeff collected some wild cactus and saw palmeto on the beach to eat. jeff caught some sharks and I caught a few catfish when we went fishing. we caught some sand crabs at 12 in the morn and when we dumped them out at camp they all ran into the fire!! kamikaze crabs. they just burned themselves up. I guess they were attracted to the flame or something.

tried to catch some birds today. no luck. maybe tommorrow.

last night was fantastic. the gallery at eotl was great. Artel's gallery was amazing. I hope one day I can get something of mine into artel. Someone offered to buy one of my photos! I was so excited. I didn't sell it though. I liked kents stuff and the painting next to mine on the easel. that one was really good. I hope eotl decides to have a gallery night more often.

art is fantastic. I'm going to PJC now for art classes. I love my teacher. she is my role model and mentor. I've had her every year for three summers. I just found out she likes built to spill and other great bands. she was impressed that they were one of my favourite bands. she thinks I have great potential, and that I could be a real artist. I am very ahead of the other class(but I've taken it before), so she works with me by my self. she wants to get something of mine into a gallery.

you know how you are born talented with skill at something, but you just have to find it? I've realized that I am not talented with anything but art. I have the potential to succeed and be a famous artist. being born with talents does have it's bad side, though. it's like a yin yang, 'in' and 'yo'; I am terrible with math. I have to be tutored, and sixth grade kids(in one of my PJC classes) are smoking me on the chalkboard. I don't think I'm stupid, I don't know. I just can't 'picture' the numbers. I am a picture person. I use the right side of my brain. numbers=confusion.

So, being exceptionally very untalented with math, I make up for with visual art. I've been painting since I was in sixth grade, but recently I have invested in more expensive tools and more time (about 6 hours a week leastly), and I have also started a home-teaching program so in about two years I'll be a professional artist(with a certificate and all) and have twenty four college art credits under my belt.

Now I haven't forgotten about moving to the forest, but I have reconsidered my options. I can live in a forest but still paint. it can't be that difficult.

I read tonight that I'm not going to be receiving the bright superkids scholarship award.

I watched this movie that got me really pumped up, but then when it went off I rememberd about something and it made me sad.

I bought the biggest canvas today. 4'x 3'. It can't even lay it on the ground and paint in my room. I'm excited because I bought the white stripes self-titled today on vinyl. I also received rubber soul today. I'm so pumped up and sad that I got a zandor. Those records got me pumped up. I also bought tons of paint today and brushes and stuff that I just felt like I needed. What can I say? there was a sale. Now I have 10+ canvas sitting in my room. oh well.
